"If you've done six impossible things this morning, why not round it off with breakfast at Milliways, the Restaurant at the End of the Universe?"
This sign was inspired by the five-book Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy by Douglas Adams—specifically, the second installment, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe.
"The waiter approached. 'Would you like to see the menu,' he said, 'or would you like to meet the Dish of the Day?' 'Huh?' said Ford. 'Huh?' said Arthur. 'Huh?' said Trillian. 'That's cool,' said Zaphod, 'we'll meet the meat.'"
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is one of my favourite series of all time, and this is my second piece of artwork inspired by the series. I believe it would look fantastic hanging in a kitchen or dining area!
"'Ladies and gentlemen,' he said, 'the Universe as we know it has now been in existence for over one hundred and seventy thousand million billion years and will be ending in a little over half an hour. So, welcome one and all to Milliways, the Restaurant at the End of the Universe!'"
